Mozambique

For the discriminating Sportsmen and Women who demand the best! We offer some of the finest big game hunting in all of Mozambique. I offer hunting in both north and south Mozambique. In Northern Mozambique: Block L8 and Block L9 of the Niassa Reserve and in Coutada Nicage, which adjoins the Niassa Reserve. In Southern Mozambique: The Gaza Concession. In total we control close to 22% of the Conservation Areas quota in Mozambique and consequently play a key role in the sustainable hunting within Mozambique.

BLOCK A / L9 “LITULE CAMP”

This camp is situated in the north east of the NNR, boasting over 50km of Lugenda River frontage and the same again along the Rovuma River. The Rovuma River demarcates the boundary between Mozambique and Tanzania. The newly constructed Litule Camp has a spectacular 5km view up the Lugenda River. Game is seen all day long coming down to quench their thirst in the cool perennial water that originates over 500km away in the west, close to the Malawi border.

The camp is situated on the riverbank among Baobabs, large leaf chestnuts and fig trees. The sounds of the cheerful birds are heard all day long and at the end of the days’ hunting you have the luxury of retiring into the comfortable safari tents. There are three tents, housing a queen size bed, toilet, shower and bath. Power is supplied via a generator and when the latter is switched off, via 12-volt batteries’. Access into Litule is by charter plane from Pemba and you land right at camp on a 2km gravel airstrip.

GAZA CAMP

We share a 43-kilometer boundary with the Gonarezhou National park of Zimbabwe, which in the Shona language means “the Home of the Elephant”. There are a number of well-situated boreholes replenishing the natural pans. There are no communities or domestic stock in this concession. The vegetation is typical lowveld sweet grass and the area is renowned for its good genetics and exceptional trophy quality.

The major species on quota are Elephant, Buffalo, Leopard and Plains game, including Kudu, Eland, Nyala, Steenbuck, Grysbuck, Giraffe, Impala and Zebra. The Camp offers three en-suite safari tents under thatch and all home comforts are catered for. The lounge / dining area boasts a small plunge pool overlooking a waterhole. The camp is nestled in the shade of a Tambuti thicket. Access to the hunting area is by charter. The 1,2km long airstrip is situated 500m from camp. The alternative option is to fly in with a commercial flight into the South African town of Hoedspruit from where a six-hour drive will take you to the concession. You can also access the area via Zimbabwe. We offer the following game: Baboon – Yellow, Cape Buffalo, Bushbuck, Bushpig, Crocodile, Bush Duiker, Red Duiker, Eland, Elephant (currently not exportable to the US), Sharpe’s Grysbuck, Lichtenstein Hartebeest, Guineafowl, Hyena, Johnston’s Impala, Greater Kudu, Leopard, Lion (currently not exportable to the US), Roosevelt Sable, Suni, Warthog, Waterbuck, Niassa Wildebeest & Böhms Zebra.
